This landing page is to provide updates about the new sewer installation along 140th Avenue NE beginning south of 40th Street and concluding just past the entrance of the Bellevue Golf Course.
Why is a new sewer line being installed?
The current Valley Creek sewer system has reached capacity. A new sewer line, permitted by the City of Bellevue, will be installed beginning in June. There is no planned disruption to sewer service.
The new sewer line is also part of Bellevue’s environmental stewardship goals since it is more sensitive to natural habitats and will help with water conservation.
Who is doing the work?
Northwest Construction is the contractor for the full sewer installation.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:
January 1, 2025
All of the underground work has been completed, however there is final paving which remains to be completed.
Per City of Bellevue rules, this work cannot be done over the winter and so it has been suspended until the weather improves this spring.
We will post updates about when this remaining paving and restoration work will be done once we know about that schedule.
